Ricky Khan is a Bundjalung man from the Northern Rivers, country of snakes and goannas. He has been painting for 30 years.

Ricky Khan’s paintings depict intimate stories about his relations with significant others. His belief and virtues, realised through his varied relationships, has been expressed through each of his paintings.

 “Australia is home to many Indigenous nations, languages, and cultures. To honour this diversity, Ricky includes native Australian animals and insects in his artwork.”

Lanny Mackenzie - Naga Weaving

Lanny has been immersed in bold, vibrant colours since childhood, growing up in rural Java and Bali, Indonesia. She now channels these memories into bespoke woven artworks, created with materials drawn from her surroundings, both natural and recycled.

Through intricate weaving techniques, Lanny explores the space between concept and expression, bringing to life structural yet whimsical creations full of colour and energy.

“Naga,” meaning dragon in Indonesian, is the totem and symbol she has chosen to represent her practice as it embodies strength, positive influence and good luck.

Patti Jones is a Medway-based artist living in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Her practice explores the connections between memory, culture, and colour through printmaking, painting, and plein air work. Inspired by the richness of everyday life, Patti celebrates it through expressive use of colour and bold, thoughtful marks.

Drawing on both personal and collective memories, her art seeks to spark emotion, encourage reflection, and invite viewers to consider our shared identity and place in society. For Patti, creating is not just about making images, but about fostering connection and conversation.

Joy Engelman

Joy Engelman is an internationally recognised artist from Central West NSW with a 45-year career. She has explored the backroads and wild places since her mother started taking her on journeys as a child and has painted with a love of Australia ever since. 

Engelman’s interest lay in the use and abuse of the environment as she has watched with dismay the desecration and loss of forest and landscape over her life. Her art has been widely exhibited and collected, and she has received awards including the Leonardo da Vinci Award, Goeje Arts Festival Excellence Award, and Lorenzo il Magnifico Award.

Mezza Art

Meryl O’Brien (Mezza) is a self-taught artist from the Southern Highlands who has been painting for over 12 years. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, she has also experimented with more unusual surfaces, such as old wood and circular saw blades.

Her passion lies in capturing the essence of the Australian landscape, particularly the outback. She is especially drawn to the contrast of earthy reds and oranges against the vast, clear blue skies. While the bush remains her greatest inspiration, she occasionally turns her hand to seascapes as well. Having travelled across parts of Australia, Meryl is constantly on the lookout for striking scenery to spark her imagination and enrich her art.

Kristene Smith

Kristene Smith has pursued handcrafts throughout her life, from sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet and weaving to pottery, leadlight and calligraphy. Teaching in Japan and Taiwan inspired her to explore patchwork, quilting, origami and Chinese calligraphy. She now creates quilts, wall-hangings and handcrafted gifts that celebrate cultural influences and personal connections

Monom (墨農)

Mr Keng-Yun Wu also known as Monom is a global artist born in Tainan, Taiwan.

He began his artistic journey after graduating from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University. Early in his career, he represented Taiwan internationally, presenting artworks to ambassadors and exhibiting across Asia. His greatest achievement is the internationally acclaimed series The Light of the Century, exhibited across Asia and Europe, including the Louvre and the Grand Palais in Paris. By fusing Eastern and Western philosophies, his art transcends cultural boundaries, embodying peace, wisdom, and spiritual transcendence.
