Spring at AustrAsia Cultural Centre
Spring at AustrAsia Cultural Centre
This spring, we are launching new cultural prorgrams at AustrAsia Cultural Centre.
Alongside our exhibitions and ceramic workshops, we are introducing new cultural programs in ink painting, traditional knotting, and wellness culture, as well as our first School Holiday Cultural Activities for youth and families.
Some are designed for people who want to learn over time. Others are simply a chance to drop in, try something new and spend a little time with us.
Oriental Ink Art
Our new Oriental Ink Art Learning series introduces brush and ink painting through both technique and cultural background. It is designed for beginners and those who would like to build their skills gradually over a longer learning journey.

Art of Knots
Traditional knotting is a practical, hands-on way to learn one of the ancient, long-standing decorative arts. Participants can learn the basic techniques, make their own pieces and understand a little more about the meanings behind different knots and forms.

Circle of Wellness
Circle of Wellness brings people together for practical conversations about everyday wellbeing and self-care. Through the traditional idea of nurturing life, we explore how age-old cultural thinking can still offer useful ideas for the way we live today.

School Holiday Cultural Activities
For the first time this spring, we’re also running a small program of cultural activities for youth and families during the school holidays.
Families can try oriental ink painting, traditional knotting and a Mini Cultural Discovery at our exhibition. Ceramic workshops will also be available for those who would like a longer hands-on experience.
